POS Pizza will v5 will run on Windows Vista an Windows 7 without doing anything special, but in order to license this product under either of those OS's, follow the steps below:

1. Open "Computer", and then drive C:

2. Double-click on the POS Pizza folder to open it.

3. The next steps will need to be done for the following files inside of the POS Pizza folder:
POSPizza.exe, DrvrCons.exe, Manager.exe, LicRenew.exe

4. Working with one of the above programs at a time until you have done the steps below to each of them...

Image

a. Right-click on the exe file and select "Properties" from the popup menu.

b. Click on the "Compatibility" Tab.

c. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"

d. Select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)"

e. Click the "Change settings for all users" button, near the bottom of the window.

d. repeat steps c & d above on the sub-window after it opens.

f. Click Apply then OK on each remaining window until all are closed.

g. repeat these steps on any remaining exe files as listed above.

5. Make a note of the hardware fingerprint shown on the PC.

6. Reboot, and check the hardware fingerprint again to verify that it has *not* changed.

7. Once you can reboot your PC and continually get the same hardware fingerprint, you are now ready to install a license key on this system.

For network users, these steps will only need to be performed on the main (Server) computer, and not on the clients.

Update: This should no longer be an issue if you are running the most up-to-date version of POS Pizza which is (as of this posting) v5.50.07.

Please check your hardware fingerprints, reboot, and then check them a second time (after the reboot) and make sure that they remain the same.
