Switching users/maintaining order data needed!

Post by pdpfoods »

We have several employees set with permission levels that vary from Standard user to Supervisor permissions. One of the big key values in these role separations is in the restricted discount list. Obviously as most places do we have a "comp" discount and a "50%" discount that is set at a restricted level for managers to use in the event something needs to be rectified with a customers complaint etc... In the food business this sometimes can happen once per day. When an order is up on the screen, is there a way to keep the order in the same state while switching users instead of dumping the order? Usually, an employee with low permissions is in the middle of an order and suddenly needs a manager to take over with the customer to fix whatever the problem may be. If the manager needs to log in with their credentials in order to use some of the discounts that are restricted, the system clears the order. Is there any way to keep this from happening without jumping through hoops such as submitting order as-is, logging out, re-logging in, finding order and opening in edit mode and reprocessing the order? My mind tells me there has got to be an easier way as this is a pretty common occurrence in the food industry.
