I have many servers using one terminal.
Is there a setting to have an employee swipe to enter an order, so I know who entered it?
I would like the server/employee to print on the kitchen slip, so we know who to page or ask a question. Is that possible?

Yes, enable logins, and setup a user account for each employee. You can use mag cards for them to log into the POS. Also set a timeout value of about 60 seconds, so that if an employee logs in and forgets to log out, it is automatically done after 60 seconds of inactivity.

Re: Order assigned to employee
I did that originally and set it to log out after 15 seconds.
It never logs the employee out. You have to do it manually.
So, I am confused.....?

Make sure that it is checked in the module too. The timeout is set in the Global setup, and it is enabled individually in each module setup.
I would make it 30 seconds at a minimum as 15 is too short.

P.S. One more very important thing. When making these types of low-level changes, always completely exit all running copies of the POS to the desktop, and then launch the management tool directly from the desktop and make the changes, save, and exit. After you have saved the changes launch the POS module(s) again.
If you make low-level changes in the management tool while the POS is running, the POS won't update itself with those changes until it is either restarted or refreshes its internal data (about 10 minutes), so it is best to always make low-level changes while the systems are stopped.

Re: Order assigned to employee
I'll try that. I only chose 15 sec as a trial.
