Create a button in the Premium POS module then select that function and set the percentage amount that that button is to deduct off of the previous item. Save, then run that module, add an item, then click that button after an item is added.

The regular POS has the discount calculator on the non-inventory item which can be used in the same way.
This process was automated in the premium version because during setup you can add as many new buttons to the POS as needed with the desired functionality. The discount amount is stored in the button, so a button would need to be created for each discount amount (eg. 5%, 10%, 25%, etc). This simply is not possible in the original POS since it is built using a completely different architecture.
If you aren't using the premium version, then you can still use the regular discounts or use the non-inventory item. The enhanced functionality of the Premium version does allow doing many more things that really aren't possible in the standard POS due to the way that each app is designed.

If the regular POS had all of the same features as the premium POS then there would be no point to having a premium POS. It's definitely worth the little bit of extra money to get the premium. Not only does it offer more flexibility but it is much faster for your employees to use than the regular POS is if set up properly.seaside wrote:Why not add it to the regular POS too?
