Incorrect pricing

Post by floyddroid »

Even though I have the correct inventory and pricing set in the master items it is incorrect. Any ideas where this would come from?
I have double checked all pricing and toppings and so far doesn't make sense to me....

How do you want the item to work? How is the item set up? How much are your toppings? Which toppings are charged for? Explain in more detail what is happening and the result that you are expecting, and what the result you are getting is.

Flat per topping charges only effect toppings that are marked "Is topping" on the item. Individual charges are always applied when used.

Sorry about that, kind of useless information without context.

The standard price is $10.99 but price that appears $18.99.

I have included a link to a screenshot.

Configurations is:

The STD toppings will be charged for when they are set with per-topping charges. If your toppings are not "removable" then just set those STD toppings to 0.00.

If they are "removable" you can do several things to accommodate this. The most common way would be to count how many non-zero priced standard toppings that you have, then set the "Include Toppings" to that exact amount.

In your case you have these:
Rose Sauce STD Is Tpg $1.00
Green Pepper STD Is Tpg $2.00
Mushroom STD Is Tpg $2.00
Grilled Chicken STD Is Tpg $3.00

So you would want to set the "Include Toppings" option to ON and set it to 4 which is how many toppings there are above that aren't 0.00. Also move your 0.00 priced toppings to the beginning of the STD items so that if double of one of the non-zero items is added that the additional is charged for it.

The next method would be a better option in general, and you wouldn't need to be concerned with the order of the toppings.

------

Another way of doing this, is to set all of the standard toppings to 0.00 since they are already included in the base item, there is no reason to charge extra for them when they are standard toppings. In this case, you will want to create "Extra" versions of those toppings if you allow extra, like "Extra Mushroom", "Extra Grilled Chicken" as separate toppings that are added to that item. This allows Extra to be printed on the tickets which helps the cooks and is an easier way of managing these types of conditions, and allows for half-extra as well. These extra toppings would be OPTIONAL toppings, and would have the prices all set on them. The downside is that it takes a little more setup time for creating the additional "Extra" toppings, but it it worth it in the end.

------

The last way to deal with this would be to lower the main price by the sum of your STD toppings ($8 in your case). For "removable std" this is not recommended, because if someone removes one of those toppings the overall price will go down. If that is okay, then this is another way of offsetting the price difference.

I didn't have a clear understanding of the affects of standard and optional. The problem has been resolved.

Thank you.
