Hard Drive full??

Post by Jimbo »

Hi folks:

Boy do I feel stupid...

I just "heavy scrubbed" my HD, and now it's showing that my 80 G hd is full. There are no files marked scrubber.*.

Any ideas?

Thanks!!

The Hard Disk Scrubber will overwrite all of the free space by creating files called scrubber.xxx in a folder called SCRUBWRK located directly under the root of the drive in which you are scrubbing. Empty this directory to recover your free space. If you have a Norton Protected Recycle Bin make sure that you Purge the files from the bin!!! Otherwise the free space will be held until it does it on its own
The above quote if from our FAQs Page:

Do you have a Norton Protected Recycle Bin? If so Empty the protected files, and your space will come back.

where's "scrubber.xxx"?

This is really dumb: I can't find scrubber.xxx nor SCRUBWRK in my root directory. Norton System Works says my C Drive of 120G is 100% full. Gulp. Where is it hiding?

Right-Click on your recycle bin and then choose Empty Norton Protected Files from the menu. You should get your space back.
