Just had some questions about points. We are thinking of using them for a 'reward' system for selling peel-off cards as a fundraiser for baseball teams. The teams will earn points for selling x amount of cards that they can use for an ice cream cone or a slice of pizza. I have noticed a couple things while researching the point system.
1. Is there a way that points are tracked? I notice the receipt will show how many points are paid and how many are left on an account. Also the drawer detail will show ???? as payment type & the order amount becomes $0.00 if it is all paid for with points. The sales summary report shows how many points are redeemed and earned for a day too.
Is there a way to track a customers point use?
Can we see (besides the ???? on drawer detail) what orders were paid for with points.

2. If an employee has the ability to edit customers, they are also able to add points to any customer. Is there a way to either restrict who can give points, or maybe only give points through mgr?
As a work-around, we could change all non-managers to not have the ability to edit customers...this would work, just be a little restrictive not being able to change names, etc.

Points redeemed and awarded are both on the sales summary report.

Any employee with the Can Full Edit Customers flag set can edit the points, other employees cannot. Granting access to the management utility or setting the Can Edit Customers flag in the Main POS side, only gives limited editing ability.
