Scrub Failure locks drive
Scrub Failure locks drive
Was running programe to scrub free space and had drive write problems which caused system to abort scrub. Now drive is inaccessible because it is "locked" by the utility. How does one recover from this situation?
Re: Scrub Failure locks drive
Scrub does not lock the drive. It simply creates files in the folder SCRUBWRK on whatever drive letter that you were scrubbing free space on. Delete That folder to recover any space taken by the scrubber. You may want to reboot too, so Windows knows that the files aren't in use by any applications.
