We will be releasing a new Update Pack again very soon that will include a Quick Add Module. This module (pictured below) will ring up any items that you choose (regular, non-inventory, or groups) at the touch of a single button. This is only for walk-in orders that are for carry-out. Each order will be placed immediately into the system just as though it were added using the main POS Module.
These orders can easily be edited or voided using the Main POS Module, because they are standard orders but without a customer assignment.
This module as well as some fixes to the existing system will be released very shortly (probably within 2 weeks of this post). This will be a free add-on to all existing customers.
Warning: This module requires Windows 2000 SP2 (or higher), or Windows XP. Summit Computer Networks is going to be dropping support for all Win9x/ME platforms with all future releases!

Quick Add Module
That is still going to have to wait. These add-on's are all parts that are going to be incorporated into our dine-in module. We have a very strict schedule that we are following to complete this module. We will be adding reports and stuff as we go, so there is still a chance that it may be in one of the upcoming releases, but probably closer to the final release of the dine-in module.
The end-of-day report has been updated however to show the actual amounts that the casheirs "take" in, instead of the orders that they generated. This change is in the upcoming update.

No date yet, but we do have a list of tasks that must be completed back to back. The next thing on the list is credit card processing, then the dining room and dining area database editors and then the dine-in module development, followed by reports, and finally documentation. An announcement will be made when we are at the beta test stage. The reason no date has been set is that we do not know how long each of the above stages will take. Some will go much faster than others, but again we just don't know. The Quick Add Module was completed nearly 2 weeks faster than was anticipated.mantrasia wrote:...side note, when is the dine in module slated for wide release?
