met with a client today.
and discussed his pos needs.
seems to be a fairly easy install
one main pc, two stealthtouch pos for order taking(1 duel as a driver station and as overflow)
my only concern is that he does not want to have a pc in the kitchen
for a console station. he only wants a printer. to print out tickets
for the cook. the run between the main pc and touch screens is on the other side of the room and i am not sure how to connect this
funny little printers yet.. if i run a cable, it looks like ill have to run it like 30-40 ft to put a printer on the prep station.
questions... can i use network cable and get a print server jet direct ...
or what???
the problem is this client seems REALLY cheap...
and getting him not to put the pos software on these old stealtouch
was hard enough...(managed to convince him to mirror the drive
with the important data on it..
what is the cheapest way to put a printer say 50 ft away from the rest of
the systems for printer tickets???
