Run the Management Utility program and do the following:

  1. go to the File menu and select System Config
  2. go to the Employee Handling tab and select "Enable Employee Database"
  3. click the green check to save this setting

The Logins and Time Clock will now be active. Make sure that you have at least one employee who can log into the main pos and has "Can Exit Program" set in their rights or you won't be able to exit the POS.

Oh, you're on v6.0... This is a v5.0 forum, so I was assuming you were referring to v5.

In v6. run the Management Utility and;

1. Select "Configure" on the toolbar
2. Select "Global System Config"
3. Select the "Customers & Misc" tab
4. in the "Misc Settings" section (upper Right part of screen) uncheck the box labeled "No Employee reqd - Order Entry"
5. Click the "Save & Exit" button.
6. Exit the management utility.
7. Restart the Main Order Entry station and those buttons will be enabled.
