The starting cash is set in each driver's account.
Some stores have the driver cash out after each delivery. Others have them cash out at the end of their shift. The latter situation may want to drivers to drop some of their cash so they arent' running around with such a large amount of money.
v4.0 used the POSPIZZA.INI file to get the starting cash and per delivery amounts. 5 still uses these values if they are not set in the Driver's account.
In addition to Mike's post I would like to add that if *no* pay per delivery or starting cash was specified in the INI file, that POS Pizza would use .60 per delivery, and $20 starting cash.
Where are these driver accounts and thier balances defined in the system? I have a situation where I have no delivery charge and have a variable starting bank amount for each driver in some cases. How do I set these up?
In the Management Utility go to File, Employeess. Edit or Add an employee and on the Pay & Cost tab you will see the Starting Cash amounts. These can be set and saved for each individual employee. This amount will remain for an individula employee until you later change it again.
