XCharge and Apostraphes in Last Names on Credit Cards

Post by synpse »

Title pretty much says it all..

We had a customer with an Apostrophe in their last name, and the POS Pizza software threw out an error after successfully running the card in XCharge. The slip didn't print, but the card was charged. The order showed on the CASH OUT list as unpaid.

Can you tell me specifically what the error message said?

That would give me a good indication of what happened and where specifically in the code to look.

I think I may have located the area where the issue occurred. It will be fixed in the next update.

Some time in mid to late May as a rough guess. There are other things that are being worked on as well, that we'd like to get all into a single upgrade.

We're still working with credit card processing in our online ordering module. Still a few weeks out minimally. I'm hoping in the 2nd half of June.

Now the address pulls through to XCharge..

Cool, BUT...

We use the zip code field as a delivery fee field. 1 = $1, 5 = $5 Soooooo.... they're not going to validate right!!

it would be a little easier if we could just assign a delivery fee to the customer. the overly complicated street database / zone scheme is just not doing it for us.

I'm not sure, but can't you override that imported values? It may be a setting on the X-Charge end of things.
