Can't Connect Make Line PC to Database

I'm currently configuring the POS system to include a make-line PC for the kitchen to track the orders.

The local IP address of the computer running the server is 192.168.1.166 (it is also the primary POS computer, if that matters at all)

I keep receiving the error message "Connection to: 192.168.1.166:42001 FAILED!" when trying to connect from the secondary computer (I added the port information from the Makeline Configuration Page).

What advice would you give / what are troubleshooting steps can I take to resolve the issue? I can post the server logs if that would be helpful!

The database server isn't at 42001. It should be set to 54181 unless you changed it from default. The 4200x block of ports is not used for connection to the database server.

Edit the make the MakeLine.INI file and modify the Server= line to either of the two options below.


Server=192.168.1.166:54181

OR

Server=auto
