I just wanted to post in this thread just in case someone else tried this.
I had an employee who we had with a user name and password all setup, well we just had her in there as "t" and we thought that would be ok. Well she serves in the dining room and wanted it to print her full name on the tickets. So I went in and changed that info. She wasn't able to clock out. Of course I realized what I had done, so I changed it back to just "t" - clocked her out and then changed it and then it let her clock in with her new name. But I'm guessing that this guy did the same thing.
You can't change someone's username or (assuming) password, while they are clocked in.
