Newbie Question -- assigning speciality pizzas

Post by mike_rochip »

Greetings all. Thanks to PMQ users for pointing me toward this software, which I am now testing for use in my new store. So far I like it.

QUESTION: We have a bunch of speciality pizzas. How do I add these without specifying the size in advance? In other words, do I need to have Greek Pizza - Small, Greek Pizza-Large, Greek Pizza -XLarge, or can I just
have "Greek Pizza" and then let phone person pick the size?

I'm sure there's a trick I'm missing!

Thanks. And thanks for letting me have a lot of features in a POS, without selling my first born. He's really good, and in a few years can help in the biz...

You should have a separate "Item" for each size as you stated. You could use a topping to indicate the size (as some people do), but it is better to have the different sizes as completely different items because then you can track the "extras" (or toppings) used for each of these items.

Also if you use a single item, there is no way to have different toppings charges for the different sizes.
