Weird Printer Question

I have an epson Serial printer, with the old telephone line type connection.
I have no extra serial ports on the computer because serial 1 & 2 are taken up by 2 other epson printers using the more modern serial cables, Would it be feasable to hook the serial printer thru the modem port, since they are both the same type of telephone wire? & Have it print?

The printer should have a DB9 if it is a serial printer. The phone connector looking port should be to drive a cash drawer off of the printer.

The modem can't be used as a serial port anyway since it will look for carrier and things that a normal serial port will not do.
