max licenced connections
max licenced connections
How many computers can you use one license on guys?
Re: max licenced connections
When you say licensees are you referring to a single site or the number of licensed connections at that site?
It depends on the type of station being run. Licenses are for stations that can create orders, so this would include online-ordering, the dine-in module, and the POS module. The list below shows which modules use license and which ones do not.
Module - Licensed?
-------------------------------------------------
Main POS - YES
Dine-In (full svc) - YES
Online Ordering Srvr - YES
Driver Dispatch - NO
Management - NO
Make-Line - NO
With one license, you can run only 1 (at a time) of the first 3 modules, and can run as many as you want of the last 3 modules. Up to 20 order entry licenses can be purchased per site license. That means 20 order-entry stations, and however many other stations that you need. We have tested the server with over 100 simultaneous connections all doing database read/writes at the same time on a fast switched network, and the system was still very usable.
