SMS Text - double msg issue

Help. Owner says he is receiving two txt messages (same thing) at a time!

I noticed eztext has changed their website some. We have two phone numbers setup to get the text msgs. the owner and the manager.


So.. any ideas on this issue?

No, I have not encountered that problem. I am set up here so that I get texts from our demo online ordering system, and always get one.

Does the messages sent counter on the app show the correct number. Stop the dispatcher, and start it then monitor it for the first hour.

I'm.. not sure.. it says 2, but that was only after 1 hour, and it's setup with two numbers entered. I suspect something between the old POS Pizza and the new eztexting API is looping.

It doesn't loop. Multiple phone numbers can all be sent in a single call. That's the part that isn't making sense to me.

I bought a new cell phone a few days ago and right after activating it (same number) I too began to receive double messages from the POS hourly report.

The SMS is sent as a single request with all recipients to the text provider. The recipients are a comma separated list of phone numbers. I have tested this here, and only get a single message on each phone.

Is there a specific function that is sending more than 1? Like a login/logout or hourly?

The 'double message' was something to due with the Verizon Message App on my new phone. Once I switched to the native Samsung Message App I only received single messages.

I think it was an issue on the TXT'ing company side of things. It seems to be resolved.
