Tax for Comp Orders

Post by joshwho »

Hey Scott I need a way to make Comped out orders taxed. My boss wants it to where when we ring up employee meals they get comped rather then cashed out but he wants a way for the tax to still be included. Im not sure how to go about this is there a way to do that with this system?

Use a negative non-inventory item and set it for the subtotal amount, and don't make the non-inventory item taxable. Add this to the order and the subtotal will be offset, but the tax will not leaving just the sales tax portion as owed.

So if order subtotal is $10.95, then add a non-inventory item priced at $-10.95 and don't make that non-inventory item taxable.
