I just wanted to give you all a quick status update. Unfortunately I have had to temporarily stop working on POS Pizza v6, in order to make the x-charge portion of POS Pizza v5.x PA-DSS compliant. This is critical because people can face fines for failing to get compliant by July 1. So hopefully this won't take too long, so that I can get back to working on 6. X-Charge's people aren't exactly the fastest at responding so it is taking a bit longer than I had hoped.

We really need to get ver 6 for our business or you need to update version 5 so that most of the new features can be used in 5. Why is this taking so long? Are you guys going to release version 6 at all? I thought it was supposed to be out by now or at least as a beta testing version.

Please advise.

It is testing as we speak with a small group of people. The reason things got backed up is because they had to change version 5. If they keep working on version 5 then obviously version 6 will suffer as a result. Just chill for awhile and let them get version 6 done.

I understand that some of you are getting anxious to get the new version in-hand, but once again x-charge has requested changes to version 5 due to the new way of implementing things. This is not only a pain for you guys, but for us as well because we keep having to go back and modify version 5 which takes away from v6 moving forward. Believe me, we are trying to get this out as fast as possible, but we also want to ensure that everything is working properly too.

There are many new features, but keep in mind that we are also rewriting everything, so this includes all of the old features. They are all basically new in version 6, so just getting back to where 5 was using the new technology is a long road in itself. Please hang in there, it will be out for beta soon. Once we get past these unforeseen delays, things should pick back up again.
